Add-ons

What sits outside the seat price, and how each item is charged

Seat pricing covers the working product. These are the things that scale with volume, priced by shape rather than hidden in an allowance nobody can model.

Surhires add-ons cover additional AI credit packs, extra storage, extra job-board connectors, premium job-board postings passed through at cost plus a margin, and WhatsApp message overage passed through with a tier-varying platform margin. A one-time onboarding fee applies on higher tiers and is scoped at the point of sale. All of it is provisional pending buyer validation.

What the seat price already covers

Before anything on this page matters, be clear about what does not need buying. Seat pricing is $39, $49 and $99 per user per month on the Starter, Professional and Enterprise plans, or $32, $41 and $82 on annual billing, with a three-seat minimum. Those figures are provisional pending buyer validation.

Starter includes the candidate pipeline and job board, posting to LinkedIn and Indeed, one job board connector, manual resume upload, search and tagging, up to five hundred candidates, WhatsApp basics and the recruiter mobile app. Professional adds AI candidate-to-job matching with an allowance of one hundred credits per user per month, resume parsing and bulk import, AutoShortlist, duplicate detection, interview scheduling, the full WhatsApp Business API, deeper LinkedIn Recruiter integration, the Naukri, CV-Library and Seek connectors, placement invoicing and the reporting pack. Enterprise adds AI interview calls, custom prompts, multi-entity, SSO and SAML, advanced analytics, a white-labelled career portal and migration assistance, and carries a $2,000 per month platform fee.

AI credits are weighted, and the weights are published

Most AI pricing in this category is a bundle. You are given an allowance, the vendor decides which operations consume it, and the definition changes quietly when model costs move. That arrangement is unmodellable for a staffing firm, whose volume moves in steps rather than smoothly: winning one large contract can triple parsing and outreach inside a fortnight.

Surhires publishes an operation-weight table instead. Each AI operation carries a stated credit weight, so a desk can multiply its own monthly volumes and arrive at a number before it signs. A cheap, high-frequency operation such as parsing a resume weighs less than a long-running one such as transcribing and summarising a screening call. The weights are the same for every customer on the same plan and a change to them is announced rather than applied silently.

The Professional plan includes one hundred credits per user per month, pooled across the tenant rather than stranded per seat, which matters on a desk where one sourcer runs most of the volume.

  • Weights are published per operation: parsing, matching, shortlisting, drafting outreach, transcription, summarisation
  • Included allowance on Professional is one hundred credits per user per month
  • Credits pool across the tenant rather than expiring per seat
  • Usage is visible in the product before the invoice, not only after it

Additional AI credit packs

When a desk runs past its included allowance, more credits are bought in packs rather than by an automatic overage charge at an unstated rate. A pack is a fixed quantity of credits at a fixed price, and larger packs carry a lower unit cost, which is the ordinary shape of volume pricing and is stated as such rather than dressed up.

Two deliberate design choices sit behind that. Packs do not expire at the end of a month, because recruitment volume is seasonal and a January underspend should fund a September push. And the product does not silently continue running paid operations once an allowance is exhausted: consumption is visible as it happens and the account is told before it crosses the line, so nobody discovers the position at the end of a quarter.

Pack sizes and prices are set at the point of sale and are provisional along with everything else on this page.

Extra storage

A candidate record is small. The files attached to it are not. Original resumes in several formats, formatted versions, right-to-work documents, signed offer letters and call recordings accumulate, and a database of any age carries far more storage than its row count suggests.

Each plan includes a storage allowance sized for a normal desk on that plan. Beyond it, storage is bought in blocks. The two things that actually drive overage are call recordings and bulk historical imports, so both are worth checking during onboarding: recordings carry per-tenant retention limits that can be set to something shorter than forever, and a migration is the right moment to decide whether fifteen years of attachments need to come across at all.

Extra job-board connectors

Starter includes one job board connector. Professional includes the Naukri, CV-Library and Seek connectors alongside LinkedIn and Indeed posting. A desk that works several markets, or one that relies on a specialist vertical board, will want more than the plan carries.

Additional connectors are licensed per connector per month. The charge is not arbitrary: each connector is a maintained integration against an external API that changes on somebody else's schedule, and the ones that break quietly are worse than the ones that break loudly. Every connector on the site carries an explicit state - Live, In development, or Roadmap - and a connector that is not yet Live cannot be bought as though it were.

  • Starter includes one connector; Professional includes Naukri, CV-Library and Seek
  • Additional connectors are licensed per connector per month
  • Every connector shows Live, In development or Roadmap before you buy it
  • A connector in development is not sold as though it ships today

Premium job-board postings, passed through at cost plus a margin

Sponsored and premium placements on job boards are bought from the board, not from Surhires. Posting a job through the product to a board that charges for promotion means that board's charge lands somewhere, and pretending otherwise is how buyers end up surprised.

Those charges are passed through at cost plus a stated margin covering the billing relationship, reconciliation and support when a posting fails. The margin is a published percentage rather than an unexplained uplift, and the cost line and the margin line are both shown on the invoice so a desk can compare posting directly against posting through the platform and decide for itself. Where posting directly is cheaper for your volume, that is a reasonable thing to do, and the product does not penalise it.

WhatsApp message overage

WhatsApp Business API messaging is metered by the platform provider on a conversation basis, with rates that differ by country and by conversation category. Those are the provider's rates and they change without reference to any software vendor.

Surhires passes messaging charges through with a platform margin that varies by plan tier: it is lower on higher tiers, because a larger account carries proportionally less support and reconciliation overhead per message. Both the pass-through cost and the margin are itemised. Starter includes WhatsApp basics and Professional includes the full WhatsApp Business API integration, but neither includes an unlimited message allowance, because no vendor can offer one against a metered upstream service without either capping usage quietly or losing money loudly.

The one-time onboarding fee

A one-time onboarding fee applies on the higher tiers. It is scoped at the point of sale rather than published as a fixed price, because the work genuinely varies: importing a clean twelve-thousand-record CSV is a different job from migrating fifteen years of Bullhorn history with custom fields, attachment trees, note formats and a live desk that cannot stop billing during the cutover.

What the fee covers is the work that decides whether a switch succeeds: data mapping and a test import, duplicate resolution before go-live rather than after, pipeline stage and disposition configuration against how your desk actually works, vertical template selection, user roles and field permissions, connector authorisation, and a period of hands-on support through the first live requisitions. It is quoted as a scope with a number, not as a percentage of the licence.

Smaller desks on Starter generally do not need it and are not charged for it. If your data comes across cleanly and your stages are standard, the self-serve import is the right route and you will be told so.

  • Scoped at the point of sale against your actual data and stage configuration
  • Covers mapping, test import, duplicate resolution, permissions and connector setup
  • Includes hands-on support through the first live requisitions after cutover
  • Not charged on smaller desks that import cleanly through the self-serve route

All of this is provisional

The plan prices, the credit weights, the pack sizes, the storage blocks, the connector charge, the posting margin, the messaging margin and the onboarding scope are provisional pending buyer validation. The price sheet is still being tested against real staffing buyers rather than presented as settled, and this page says so instead of implying a finality that does not exist yet.

Two practical consequences. Anything written into a signed order form is what you pay for that term, regardless of what this page later says. And the GBP and AUD figures shown elsewhere on the site are conversions from the USD sheet, flagged as unconfirmed, not local price lists. Ask for a quote in your billing currency rather than budgeting from a converted figure.

What you get

Published credit weights

Every AI operation carries a stated weight so a desk can model monthly consumption before signing.

Included allowance

Professional carries one hundred AI credits per user per month, pooled across the tenant.

Credit packs

Fixed quantities at fixed prices, with a lower unit cost on larger packs, stated rather than implied.

Credits do not expire

A quiet January funds a busy September instead of resetting to zero at month end.

Consumption visible in-product

Usage is shown as it accrues and the account is warned before an allowance is crossed.

Storage blocks

Additional storage bought in blocks when files, attachments and recordings outgrow the plan allowance.

Recording retention limits

Per-tenant retention on call audio so storage does not grow because nobody set a policy.

Connector licensing

Extra job-board connectors licensed per connector per month beyond what the plan includes.

Connector states shown

Live, In development or Roadmap on every connector, so nothing in build is sold as shipping.

Postings at cost plus margin

Premium and sponsored board charges passed through with the cost and the margin itemised separately.

Direct posting stays viable

If buying from the board directly is cheaper at your volume, the product does not penalise it.

WhatsApp pass-through

Provider conversation rates passed through with a platform margin that falls on higher tiers.

No unlimited messaging claim

Metered upstream services are described as metered rather than sold as an unlimited allowance.

Scoped onboarding fee

A one-time fee on higher tiers, quoted against your data and configuration rather than as a fixed list price.

Self-serve route named

Smaller desks that import cleanly are told to use the self-serve path rather than sold onboarding.

Provisional pricing flag

Every figure and shape on this page is marked pending buyer validation rather than presented as final.

Questions recruiters ask

How do I work out how many AI credits we will need?

Take the published operation-weight table, multiply by your own monthly volumes - resumes parsed, candidates scored, outreach messages drafted, calls transcribed - and compare the total against the hundred credits per user per month included on Professional. That is the whole point of publishing weights rather than selling an opaque bundle you cannot model in advance.

What happens when we run out of credits mid-month?

Consumption is visible in the product as it accrues and the account is warned before the allowance is crossed, so the situation is not discovered on an invoice. Beyond the allowance you buy a credit pack rather than being charged an unstated overage rate. Packs do not expire at month end, which suits seasonal recruitment volume.

Why do you add a margin to job-board postings?

Because the billing relationship, the reconciliation and the support when a posting fails are real work carried by us rather than by the board. The margin is a published percentage and both the cost line and the margin line appear on the invoice. If posting directly to the board is cheaper at your volume, that is a reasonable choice and nothing here blocks it.

Is WhatsApp messaging included in the seat price?

The integration is - WhatsApp basics on Starter, the full Business API on Professional - but message volume is not. WhatsApp is metered by the platform provider on a conversation basis at rates that vary by country and category. Those charges are passed through with a platform margin that is lower on higher tiers, and both lines are itemised.

How much is the onboarding fee?

It is scoped at the point of sale rather than published, because a clean CSV import and a fifteen-year Bullhorn migration with custom fields and attachment history are not the same job. It applies on the higher tiers, covers mapping, test import, duplicate resolution, configuration and support through the first live requisitions, and is quoted as a scope with a number.

Can we avoid the onboarding fee?

Often, yes. Smaller desks on Starter generally do not need it and are not charged for it. If your data imports cleanly through the self-serve route and your pipeline stages are standard, you will be told to take that path rather than sold a service you do not need. The fee exists for migrations that genuinely require hands-on work.

Are these prices final?

No. Every figure and pricing shape on this page is provisional pending buyer validation, and the sheet is still being tested with real staffing buyers. Anything written into a signed order form is what you pay for that term. GBP and AUD figures elsewhere on the site are conversions flagged as unconfirmed rather than local price lists.
