AU pricing

What a Surhires seat costs an Australian agency

Three plans, a three-seat minimum and a fourteen-day trial, priced in Australian dollars as a conversion from the USD list price rather than a locked local price.

Surhires costs about A$59 per user per month on Starter, A$75 on Professional and A$149 on Enterprise, with roughly seventeen percent off for annual billing. Those Australian figures are conversions from the USD list price and are unconfirmed. Every plan carries a three-seat minimum and a fourteen-day trial with no credit card.

The Australian dollar figures are conversions

Surhires is priced in US dollars. The Australian figures on this page are conversions from that list price, held in the same configuration as the dollar figures and flagged in the codebase as unconfirmed pending a founder decision. They are stable enough to budget against and they are not a signed-off local price sheet.

Two practical consequences. The AUD figure you see today can move when local pricing is locked, and if it does we will date the change here. And unless you agree otherwise at the point of sale, the contract is written against the USD figure. Both sets of numbers are on this page for exactly that reason.

Three plans and what separates them

Starter suits a small desk moving off spreadsheets and a shared inbox: candidate pipeline, job board, posting to LinkedIn and Indeed, one job board connector, manual resume upload, search and tagging, WhatsApp basics and the recruiter mobile app, capped at five hundred candidates and ten seats.

Professional is the working plan for a billing desk. It adds AI candidate-to-job matching with a monthly credit allowance per user, resume parsing and bulk import, AutoShortlist, duplicate detection, the candidate blacklist, interview scheduling across rounds, full WhatsApp Business API, deeper LinkedIn Recruiter integration, placement invoicing and the reporting pack. Most Australian agencies running perm and contract will need this tier.

Enterprise is for multi-entity staffing groups needing a security review, SSO and SAML, multi-brand configuration, custom SLAs, advanced analytics and database export, and migration assistance. It carries a platform fee alongside seats and a five-seat minimum.

  • Starter: A$59 per user per month, or A$49 on annual billing. Three to ten seats.
  • Professional: A$75 per user per month, or A$62 on annual billing. Three to one hundred seats.
  • Enterprise: A$149 per user per month, or A$124 on annual billing, plus a platform fee in USD.
  • The equivalent USD list prices are $39, $49 and $99 monthly, or $32, $41 and $82 annually.

GST is excluded and the treatment depends on your registration

Every figure here is exclusive of GST. The supplier is Soor LLC, a Delaware company, so whether GST is charged on your purchase and how it is accounted for depends on your own registration status rather than on a simple domestic-supplier rule. We capture your ABN and GST registration status at the point of sale, and the treatment applied appears on the invoice.

If your accountant wants that position confirmed in writing before a purchase order is raised, ask during the sales conversation rather than after the first invoice arrives. We are not going to publish a blanket statement about your GST position, because the correct answer depends on facts about your business that we do not have.

The three-seat minimum

Starter and Professional both carry a three-seat minimum; Enterprise starts at five. A solo recruiter can run a desk on the product, but the smallest invoice is three seats regardless of how many people log in.

The reason is that support cost is not proportional to seat count. Imports, onboarding and messaging infrastructure cost about the same whether one person or three use the account. Setting the floor at three rather than five is a deliberate difference from several competitors in this category, and it is what keeps a two-person agency inside the ordinary purchase path.

Fourteen days, no card, no free tier

The trial runs fourteen days with no credit card and gives you the Professional feature set, so AI matching and resume parsing can be tested against your own imported data rather than a demo database.

There is no free-forever tier and there will not be one. Recruitment software needs a database import, an onboarding conversation and messaging infrastructure before it is useful, and an unsupported free account produces a half-configured system and a poor impression of the product. Fourteen supported days beats an indefinite unsupported account.

Onboarding, migration and the platform fee

Onboarding on the higher tiers carries a one-time fee scoped at the point of sale rather than published here. The work varies too much for a headline number to be honest: importing a clean CSV of eight thousand candidates is a different job from lifting a decade of custom fields, attachment history and note threads out of an incumbent system.

Ask for the scope and its assumptions in writing before signing. A migration quote that will not put its assumptions on paper is not really a quote.

Enterprise also carries a platform fee on top of seats, quoted in USD at two thousand dollars a month, covering the security review, the SLA and a named customer success contact.

What is not in the seat price

Messaging is passed through. WhatsApp Business API conversations, SMS and voice minutes are billed by the underlying provider. Where a connector needs your own account with a third party, that account is yours. AI matching credits are allocated per user per month on Professional, and heavier use is an add-on rather than an unlimited promise.

Background checks, assessments, payroll and pay and bill are not included, because Surhires does not do them. It is recruitment software: candidate relationships, sourcing, submissions and the placement pipeline through to the first invoice.

  • WhatsApp, SMS and voice usage billed by the provider rather than bundled into the seat
  • AI matching credits allocated monthly per user on Professional, with add-on capacity
  • Third-party job board and assessment accounts remain yours
  • No payroll, background checking, assessments or HRIS functionality at any tier

Seats, renewals and leaving

Seats added mid-term are charged pro rata from the day they are added. Seats removed take effect at renewal rather than immediately, so a desk that shrinks in March is billed for its March seats until the term ends. That is the ordinary arrangement in this category and it belongs on the page rather than only in the terms.

Data export is a product feature, not a retention lever. Candidates, clients, jobs, placements and activity can be exported as CSV or JSON at any point in the subscription, including the day you decide to leave. Advanced extract sits on Enterprise; a full record export is available on every plan.

Questions recruiters ask

Why are the Australian prices marked unconfirmed?

Because they are conversions rather than a locked local price. The USD list price is the signed-off figure and the AUD row is derived from it, still pending a founder decision. We flag that rather than presenting it as final, and when Australian pricing is locked we will date the change on this page.

Will GST be added to our invoice?

The listed figures exclude GST, and whether it is charged depends on your own registration status because the supplier is a US entity. We capture your ABN and GST registration at the point of sale and the applied treatment appears on the invoice. If your accountant needs the position in writing beforehand, ask during the sales conversation.

Can a single recruiter buy one seat?

No. Starter and Professional carry a three-seat minimum and Enterprise starts at five, so the smallest invoice is three seats. A solo recruiter can absolutely run a desk on the product. Three rather than five is deliberate and keeps a small agency inside the normal purchase path rather than an enterprise conversation.

What is included in the trial?

Fourteen days on the Professional feature set with no credit card, including AI matching, resume parsing and bulk import, so you can test against your own data rather than a sanitised demo. There is no free-forever tier afterwards: the trial converts to a paid plan or it ends.

How much does migration cost?

It is scoped at the point of sale rather than published, because a clean CSV import and a decade-long migration with custom fields and attachment history are different pieces of work. Ask for the scope and its assumptions in writing before signing, and treat any quote that will not commit its assumptions to paper with suspicion.

Is there an annual price escalator?

There is no automatic annual increase built into the standard terms, which is a deliberate difference from several systems in this category. Prices can change at renewal, and any change is notified before the renewal date rather than appearing on an invoice. Read the renewal clause in the agreement rather than relying on a marketing page.

Do we pay in Australian dollars or US dollars?

Unless something else is agreed at the point of sale, the contract is written against the USD list price and the Australian figures are shown as a conversion for budgeting. That is why both sets of numbers appear on this page. Ask about the billing currency during the sales conversation if it matters to your finance team.
