Comparison
Sourcing power against predictable cost per seat
Loxo is genuinely good at outbound sourcing. The comparison worth making is what it costs per seat once AI credits and annual billing are counted.
Loxo publishes $149 Core and $199 Professional per user per month with a custom Enterprise tier, meters AI credits per seat and bills annually. Surhires publishes $39, $49 and $99 with AI matching credits included in the Professional plan, a three-seat minimum and monthly or annual billing.

Two products that are good at different halves of the job
Loxo is built around sourcing and outbound. Its own contact data, the browser sourcing workflow and the outbound engine are the product, and an agency whose main constraint is finding people who are not already in the database gets real value from that. This page does not argue that Surhires sources better.
Surhires starts from the database you already own and the pipeline that turns it into placements. The Candidate Sourcing Agent searches your own records first and surfaces rediscovered candidates who already match the brief before you spend anything on new sourcing, because the cheapest placement is one already sitting in your system. Surhires does not ship a proprietary contact-data set, and where a phone number or personal email comes from is your problem, not something we solve.
So the honest framing is: Loxo for outbound reach, Surhires for candidate relationships, matching, communication and the placement pipeline at a lower and more predictable cost per seat.
Entry price, metered credits and annual billing
Loxo's compiled pricing is $149 Core and $199 Professional per user per month with a custom Enterprise tier. AI credits are metered per seat, and billing is annual. Each of those is a normal commercial choice, and together they change the shape of the commitment: the entry number is materially higher, the AI cost varies with use, and the whole thing is a yearly decision rather than a monthly one.
Surhires's provisional ladder is $39, $49 and $99 per user per month, with annual pricing at $32, $41 and $82 for firms that want it and monthly billing for firms that do not. AI matching on Professional comes with one hundred credits per user per month stated on the pricing page rather than metered against a balance you have to watch.
Neither model is dishonest. A metered model can be cheaper for light users and more expensive for heavy ones. What a buyer should do is model twelve months at their real volume, on both, before signing anything.
- Loxo: $149 Core, $199 Professional, custom Enterprise, billed annually
- Loxo: AI credits metered per seat
- Surhires: $39, $49, $99 monthly or $32, $41, $82 annually, three-seat minimum
- Surhires: one hundred AI matching credits per user per month on Professional
What Surhires does with the database you already have
Rediscovery is where most agency value is left on the table. A firm with sixty thousand records places from the same two thousand it can remember, because search returns everything that mentions a keyword and nothing that answers the brief. Structure at capture time is what fixes that: normalised skills, seniority, location, notice period and salary expectation as fields rather than as prose.
The Match Scorer scores a candidate against a live requisition and shows which requirement drove each point, so a recruiter can disagree with the ranking and act on it. AutoShortlist produces a working shortlist from a new requisition against the existing database. Duplicate detection runs at import so the same person does not arrive four times with the notes split across four records.
None of that replaces sourcing new people. It changes how much new sourcing a desk needs to buy in the first place.
Communication is where the follow-up either happens or does not
Sourcing produces contacts. Placements come from the follow-up, and the follow-up is where most CRMs quietly hand the work back to a recruiter's phone. Surhires ships WhatsApp Business API as a first-class channel on Professional, with templates, opt-in capture and every message written to the candidate activity stream so a conversation survives a desk change.
Email cadences and candidate communication are shipping and being extended. Nurture sequences are in build for Wave 1. Multi-channel sequencing that runs email, WhatsApp and SMS inside a single flow with shared suppression is planned rather than live, and if that is your requirement this quarter you should treat it as a gap.
The Reply Handler agent reads inbound replies, classifies interest and moves the record or raises a task. That is the part that keeps a cadence from turning into an inbox a recruiter stops reading.
What Surhires does not do
There is no proprietary contact database. Surhires does not sell you personal phone numbers or verified private emails, and it will not pretend that enrichment is a feature we ship. If contact data is the reason you are looking, that is a point for Loxo and you should weigh it accordingly.
The AI Sourcing Agent is planned rather than built, and the AI Notetaker is planned too. Talent pools, the client portal, consent and retention tooling, structured data import and the Chrome extension are in build for Wave 1. Surhires is not an HRIS, a payroll system, a background-check provider or an assessment platform, and there is no pay-and-bill module.
SOC 2 is a readiness programme in progress with a Type I report as the first deliverable. Nothing on this site claims a Type II report until one has been issued.
Where Loxo is the better choice
If your bottleneck is reach rather than conversion, Loxo is the better product. An executive search firm or a headhunting desk that lives on outbound into people who are not in any database, and that values built-in contact data over a lower per-seat price, gets more from Loxo than from us, and paying $149 or $199 a seat for that is a rational decision rather than an overspend.
The same is true if your team is small enough that annual billing is not a constraint and heavy sourcing use makes metered AI credits good value. Loxo's sourcing and outbound engine is a genuine strength, and we would rather say that than build a table designed to hide it.
Surhires is the better fit for a desk whose value is in the database it already owns, where predictable per-seat cost, explainable matching, duplicate control and WhatsApp-native follow-up matter more than another sourcing channel.

Questions recruiters ask
How current is this comparison?
Loxo pricing and packaging on this page was compiled from published vendor pricing pages on 27 August 2026 and has not been re-verified since. Vendors change pricing and packaging without notice, so check Loxo's own site before relying on any figure here rather than assuming this page reflects today.
Does Surhires include contact data?
No. There is no proprietary contact database and no enrichment product. Sourcing starts from records you already hold and from the channels you already use. If built-in phone numbers and personal emails are the reason you are evaluating, that is a genuine point in Loxo's favour and we will not argue it away.
How do AI credits compare?
Loxo meters AI credits per seat. Surhires includes one hundred matching credits per user per month in the $49 Professional plan, stated on the pricing page. Metered pricing can be cheaper for light users and more expensive for heavy ones, so model twelve months at your real volume on both before deciding.
Is Surhires available monthly?
Yes. Monthly billing is available at $39, $49 and $99 per user per month, and annual billing at $32, $41 and $82. Loxo's compiled packaging is annual. All Surhires prices are provisional pending buyer validation and that label stays on the pricing page until it changes.
Do you have a sourcing agent?
The Candidate Sourcing Agent that searches your own database and surfaces rediscovered matches is live. A broader AI sourcing agent that works external sources is planned rather than built, and every page that mentions it says so in the future tense. Do not buy on the strength of a planned feature.
Could we run both products?
Agencies do run a sourcing tool alongside a CRM, and that is a reasonable architecture if reach and pipeline are genuinely separate problems for you. It costs two subscriptions and creates a data-sync question, so it is worth being deliberate about which system holds the candidate record of truth.
